Golden
Machine
|
The
sample computer of the network. The original disk image (the base
image) that will be deployed to the clients will be created from the Golden
Machine. The hardware configurations of the other computers must be
the same as that of the Golden Machine.
|
Disk
Image
|
Disk
images are created from the Golden Machine and deployed to the other
clients, simplifying the deployment of the operating system and other
software.
|
Software
Update Package
|
Software
Update Packages can be used to update the client systems with minimum
effort. The administrator can install, delete
or upgrade an application on the golden machine and then create a software update package.
This package records the changes from the most recent saved status of the
golden machine, and can be deployed to other clients as a quick and
convenient update.
|
Deployment
|
The process of provisioning the disk image from the Golden Machine
to client PCs.
|
Network
Recovery
|
When a
client crashes, the Network Recovery function re-deploys the disk image and
all software update packages that had been previously deployed to the
client. This allows the client to return to its last stable status.
|
Hard
Disk Protection
|
Real-time
protection of the hard disk during OS operation. With Hard Disk Restore
enabled, the client computer will recover to a saved status upon each
reboot. It also enables users to recover a crashed client to a previously
saved state.
|
Checkpoint
|
A Checkpoint is a saved status of the client hard disk. When
the Hard Disk Restore is enabled, checkpoints can be created to save the
current status for future recovery.
|
Local
Recovery
|
A Local
Recovery occurs when the Hard Disk Restore is enabled and you select a
checkpoint on the individual client to recover the hard disk to.
|
Save
Data
|
Save Data
saves the current client hard disk status as the base image for the
client. After a Save Data is completed, all previous checkpoints are
deleted and a new checkpoint is created based on the saved hard disk
status.

Asset
Monitoring
|
Asset
Monitoring enables you to monitor asset information, including software
inventory, hardware inventory, alert information, client name changes, and
operating status remotely from the server console.
